Pharmacy Support Professional

Overview: Pillway BC is seeking a dedicated and innovative Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in a dynamic environment. This role is designed for a passionate individual who aims to redefine and elevate the patient experience within the pharmacy sector. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in facilitating a welcoming onboarding process, guiding patients through their prescription transfer, and ensuring all interactions are informative, empathetic, and aligned with our commitment to exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications.
- Provide exceptional customer service and answer customer inquiries.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and organizing medications and supplies.
- Process prescriptions using pharmacy software.
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality.
- Support the pharmacist in administrative tasks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform cashier duties and handle transactions accurately.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Pharmacy Assistant diploma or certification is an asset.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy setting preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency with pharmacy software and technology.
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations is a plus.
