Our Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable professional with a strong background in civil and structural engineering. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for designing and developing road, bridge, and infrastructure projects, as well as providing technical guidance to junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create proposals and fee estimates for projects
  • Prepare engineering designs and related documents for various projects
  • Interface directly with clients, team members, contractors, and others to clearly define project requirements and expectations
  • Assist with scoping, budgeting, designing, and managing civil and structural projects
  • Perform/supervise field inspections and assessments
  • Prepare technical memorandums, reports, and studies
  • Prepare design drawings and specifications
  • Provide technical guidance to EITs and designers to deliver preliminary to detailed design drawings and specifications
  • Collaborate with and supervise structural team members to develop engineering design and related documents
  • Manage client relations at both a technical and commercial level to achieve client satisfaction and leverage further opportunities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural and registered, or eligible to register, as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with EGBC
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in the natural resource sector with experience in road, bridge, and access infrastructure
  • Proven experience and demonstrated understanding of delivering projects on schedule, on budget, in scope, and at the required quality and achieving client satisfaction
  • Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written)
  • Proven ability to interact with clients and to collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplined environment
  • Technical competence and strong attention to detail
