Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Rigging Supervisor to ensure timely delivery of rigs to the Animation Department, meeting the highest standards of quality and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with off-site team members on global projects, ensuring seamless collaboration and coordination.
  • Provide technical guidance to Rigging Artists, helping them to develop optimal performance rigs and improve their skills.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest rigging techniques and technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the team.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain rig functionality during production, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Display a positive and professional attitude, embodying the values of Reel FX Creative Studios.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in rigging for film, video games, or television series.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Rigging Lead.
  • Strong understanding of animation and modeling workflows, as well as human and animal form and biomechanics.
  • Proficiency in current versions of Maya and Unreal Engine.
  • Working knowledge of Python, Mel Script, and C, with experience in Maya API an advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-pressure environment.
