Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labour and Delivery team. As a Labour and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing excellent patient care and support to our patients and their families. You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers to assess, educate, and care for patients in a supportive and culturally sensitive manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent patient care and support to patients and their families in a Labour and Delivery setting.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers to assess, educate, and care for patients.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Assume a leadership role in the Labour and Delivery department, providing guidance and support to colleagues as needed.
Requirements
- Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification.
- Recent breastfeeding course.
- Fetal Health Surveillance certification, preferred.
- Perinatal Certificate, preferred.
- 2-3 years Labour and Delivery experience, preferred.
- Operating Room experience, preferred.
- Bilingualism in French/English, an asset.
