About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Manager to join our team at Highline Forming Inc. as a key member of our leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Reporting and Analysis

Collaborate with our leadership and operations teams to provide financial reporting, analysis, and guidance to support business decision-making.

Financial Planning and Execution

Develop, implement, and manage all finance activities and accounting functions, ensuring alignment with our company's strategic objectives.

Financial Performance Management

Manage, track, and report on key financial performance indicators (KPIs) and problem-solving activities to drive business growth and improvement.

Financial Process Improvement

Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in our finance department and across the company, ensuring efficient and effective processes.

Financial Policy and Procedure Development

Develop, maintain, and improve all accounting policies, procedures, systems, and controls, including general ledger and financial reporting.

Financial Reporting and Compliance

Coordinate, prepare, review, and present monthly and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Financial Team Management

Lead and manage our finance team, including hiring, training, and developing team members to achieve their full potential.

Financial Operations Management

Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, and project accounting.

Financial Regulatory Compliance

Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Canadian GAAP, and oversee annual external audit activities.

Financial Cash Flow Management

Manage cash flow and relevant reporting, ensuring timely and accurate financial information.

Financial Relationship Management

Develop and maintain relationships with lending and financial institutions to support our company's growth needs.

Financial Tax Planning and Compliance

Manage tax planning and compliance with all required federal, provincial, local, payroll, property, and other applicable taxes.

Other Duties

Perform other duties as required to support the success of our company.

Requirements
  1. Education and Certification

Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or accounting with a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.

Experience

Experience in a finance function within the construction industry, preferably with Sage, Procore, TimberScan, and CRM systems.

Skills and Qualities

Strong technical accounting skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel and QuickBooks. Proven experience building and managing a high-performing finance team, with a strategic mindset and ability to think creatively and strategically for the long term.

Leadership Traits

Ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Effective time management and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
