Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Humani HR. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive health and safety programs to ensure a safe working environment for our employees.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement health and safety policies, programs, and training to ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver training programs to ensure employees understand health and safety policies and procedures.
- Manage WSIB and other safety boards, ensuring accurate records of incidents, inspections, and training activities.
- Foster a culture of safety awareness by engaging with employees at all levels and promoting a culture of safety excellence.
- Degree or diploma in HR, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Professional HR designation (CHRP) is an asset.
- Certificate in OH&S is an asset.
- 3+ years experience in a health and safety role, preferably within the retail or logistics industry.
