Job Overview


As a key member of our team at Prep Academy Tutors, you will be providing in-home academic support to students in French Immersion based on the Alberta curriculum. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on students' learning experiences while working in a flexible and personalized environment.


Key Responsibilities



  • Provide academic support to students in French Immersion, tailoring your approach to meet their individual needs and abilities.
  • Develop and implement supplemental assignments to promote deeper understanding of material and enhance student engagement.
  • Offer remedial and enrichment support to students, ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to discuss student progress and provide updates on their learning journey.

Requirements and Qualifications



  • You must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to central areas of Calgary.
  • Experience in teaching and a passion for education are essential.
  • You should be committed to providing excellent customer service and enjoy working with students and families.
  • Great communication skills are crucial for success in this role.
  • You are a French Immersion graduate or a qualified French Immersion Teacher.

Qualifications and Certification



  • You hold a registration in good standing with Alberta Education.
  • You are qualified to teach in a Canadian Province/Territory outside of Alberta.
  • You are qualified to teach in the United States.
  • You are a current teacher candidate; pursuing a Bachelor of Education.
  • You have experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited Canadian University or College.
