Assistant Professor - Operations Management and Analytics

Position Overview:

The Department of Management at the University of Toronto Scarborough is seeking applications for a full-time tenure stream role in the domain of Operations Management and Analytics. This position is designated for the rank of Assistant Professor.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a PhD in Operations Management, Operations Research, Analytics, or a closely related discipline by the time of appointment. A proven track record of excellence in both research and teaching is essential. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research and teaching align with our existing strengths in Operations Management and Analytics.

Research Focus:

We are looking for candidates who can contribute to the current strengths of our Operations Management and Analytics group, especially in areas such as Discrete Optimization and algorithmic analysis of Operations Management challenges. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in innovative and independent research and to develop a robust, externally funded research program.

Evidence of Excellence:

Candidates should provide evidence of research excellence through publications in reputable journals, a detailed research statement, and presentations at significant conferences. Strong endorsements from respected referees in the field will also be required.

Teaching Excellence:

Evidence of teaching excellence must be demonstrated through a comprehensive teaching dossier, which includes a teaching statement, sample course materials, and evaluations or other indicators of superior teaching performance. Additional teaching-related experiences, such as leading workshops or mentoring students, will also be considered.
