About the position:

Amber is seeking a Swedish Localization QA Tester to join our team at our Montreal offices on an on-call basis. Training will be provided for candidates without prior experience.

The Task:

  • Verify video game titles and ensure all text, images, and voice-over components in Swedish are accurate and engaging
  • Identify translation, contextual, cultural, and linguistic errors in video game titles
  • Report errors in a bug-tracking database and/or translation document clearly
  • Provide resolutions for errors reported to enhance the linguistic and translated content
  • Follow and respect terminology guidelines
  • Cross-check issues between different languages with your team
  • Communicate effectively with the Test Lead and address any concerns or problems that arise

The Skills:

  • Native-level language competency in Swedish
  • Proof of eligibility to work in Canada
  • Experience using mobile, PC, and console devices, as well as knowledge of their terminology
  • A passion for video games
  • An impeccable eye for detail
  • Professional competence in English

Compensation:

  • The starting salary is set at $17 CAD per hour
