Dietary Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team at Northern Health Region. As a Dietary Aide, you will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, serving, and cleaning in our kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with food preparation, including washing and peeling vegetables, and preparing salads.
- Set tables and clear dishes, trays, and chairs.
- Load buspans and trays, and operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
- Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
- Keep records of the quantities of food used.
- Portion and wrap foods, and stock refrigerators and salad bars.
- Food Safety Certificate
- Safe Food Handling certificate
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
- Criminal record check
As a Dietary Aide, you will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads. You will also be required to work in a team environment, communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
