About Blyth Academy

Blyth Academy is the largest private school in Ontario, with several campuses across the province. We cater to students in grades 5-12, offering a comprehensive full-time program as well as part-time, private, semi-private, night & weekend, summer school, and online courses. Our primary focus is to enhance academic achievement to prepare all students for university and beyond.

We tailor the curriculum to the individual student, not the other way around. By taking into account each student's learning style and extra-curricular responsibilities, we create a customized plan unique to the individual. Our goal is to give students the academic foundation they need to succeed in their future endeavors.

About the Role

As a high school teacher at Blyth Academy, you will have the opportunity to educate students who are focused on academic success and have strong parental support. Our small classrooms, averaging 8 students, ensure enhanced student engagement & interactions and less administrative work. The academic calendar consists of 4 terms from September – June, allowing for a structured and manageable schedule. You will have autonomy to create your individual teaching structure and style, and you will be supported by your colleagues and leadership.

Requirements

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced teacher who possesses subject matter expertise and teaching experience. You should have extensive knowledge of the current Ontario curriculum and be able to create engaging lessons. An empathetic and student-centered approach is essential, as well as a commitment to differentiated learning approaches and experiential learning.
