Qualifications and Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Island Health. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in radiology and a certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).

The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years of recent experience in an acute hospital setting, including one year of experience performing Computed Tomography. They will also have a strong understanding of angiography and interventional procedures, as well as knowledge of medical imaging and patient information systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Computed Tomography scans and procedures with accuracy and precision
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technological developments in the field to ensure high standards of patient care
  • Communicate effectively with patients and staff, both verbally and in writing
  • Work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team to achieve departmental goals
Preferred Qualifications
  • CAMRT Computed Tomography certification
  • Intravenous (IV) certification
  • Knowledge of angiography and interventional procedures
  • Three years of recent experience in an acute hospital setting
