Activity Coordinator

Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activity Aide to join our team. As an Activity Aide, you will play a vital role in creating a engaging and inclusive environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized and group activity programs based on resident needs and preferences.
- Set up and maintain activity areas, and transport residents to and from programs.
- Monitor resident behavior and condition during programs, and report any significant changes to the Resident Program Manager and nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate records of program participation and resident engagement.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure resident needs are met.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience in program planning and implementation for seniors with cognitive impairments.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of geriatric care and ability to adapt to changing resident needs.
