Job Title: Plumbing Helper

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Plumbing Helper to join our team at Doitright Plumbing Heating. As a key member of our team, you will assist our plumbers in various tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our plumbers in loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials. You will also perform pre-operational inspections, read blueprints to determine work requirements, and mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt. Additionally, you will help medical examiners and assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction.

Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Perform pre-operational inspections
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Help medical examiners
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Perform routine maintenance work
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
Requirements:
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) training
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate
  • Confined Space Entry Training
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work outdoors, at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty environments. They will also be required to work in a physically demanding environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks.
