We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team at Construction PCL Inc. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our district services.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Assist in the preparation of monthly operations reports, quarterly financial reports, and mid-year/year-end business plans to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Risk Management: Collaborate with the Finance and Commercial Risk manager to implement and monitor district/company policies and procedures to minimize risks.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal government contracts (CDN) and maintain the security requirements of our district.
- Financial Planning and Budgeting: Assist in reviewing monthly forecasting, district/project recoveries, and various reconciliations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Insurance and Bonding: Evaluate, coordinate, and ensure insurance, bonding, and other performance securities are met to satisfy contract and corporate requirements.
- Team Leadership: Supervise the Accounting department and provide guidance on financial management best practices.
- Contract Management: Assist in the review of insurance, subcontractor default insurance, and legal claims to maximize claim recovery.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or diploma in a related field such as accounting, finance, or business administration.
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry, with 2+ years of risk management experience.
- Skills: Advanced knowledge of accounting procedures, budget administration, financial forecasting, analysis, and reporting; strong financial management acumen and leadership skills.
- Competitive Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
