Laboratory Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Lakeridge Health. As a Laboratory Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized test procedures in Chemistry, Hematology, and Blood Bank.
Key Responsibilities:- Organize workflow to maintain performance standards of quantity and quality
- Observe, troubleshoot, and report problems with methods and equipment
- Ensure cleanliness of equipment and immediate work area
- Follow established safety and infection control procedures
- Participate in student/staff training programs, as required
- Certification with the Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Sciences (CSMLS)
- Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO)
- Current theoretical and technical knowledge in Hematology, Blood Transfusion, and Biochemistry
- Strong working and technical knowledge of electronic and/or mechanical equipment
- Proven problem-solving skills and effective communication and interpersonal skills
The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment and will be expected to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
