We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our team at Ontario INC. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality pastries and desserts in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and execute menu items, including estimating food requirements and requisitioning supplies.
- Prepare and present pastries and desserts to a high standard, taking into account customer allergies and intolerances.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Clean and maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and physical stamina.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in a commercial kitchen or bakery.
- Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
