We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Transportation and Infrastructure Specialist. In this role, you will assist in the review of engineering drawings, legal agreements and discussions, land surveys and regulatory compliance requirements.

About the Job

You will work closely with the Public Works team to support various projects carried out during construction season. This includes creating or improving PW project tracking systems, reviewing plans for municipality roads and intersection improvement projects, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure compliance with Transport Canada regulations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain PW project tracking systems for capacity improvements and railroad crossing upgrades
  • Review and validate plans for municipality roads and intersection improvement projects to ensure compliance with engineering and TC standards
  • Collaborate with the Public Works group to track railroad crossing upgrade projects and follow up with interdepartmental teams and external stakeholders
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in data and project management
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret engineering memos and drawings
  • Working knowledge of GIS, SAP, and AutoCad
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and SharePoint
Education

A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required for this position.

Remuneration

The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
