Job Title: Small Engines and Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Small Engines and Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Equipment North Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex engine and equipment issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and isolate faults on engines and motors using advanced diagnostic techniques
  • Discuss work with supervisor to ensure efficient and effective repair processes
  • Document inspections and tests made on engines and motors to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Estimate repair costs and provide detailed reports to management
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts using hand tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Test and adjust repaired equipment for proper performance and functionality
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service on equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in small engine and equipment repair
  • Valid driver's licence and own transportation
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye co-ordination
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding environments
  • Excellent oral communication and client focus skills
  • Reliability, team player, and organized
