We're currently seeking a Senior Director of Audit for an accounting firm in Downtown Montreal.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Distribute files fairly among department staff and manage workload.
  • Follow up on audit mandates within the team and provide training/mentorship on accounting standards and internal procedures.
  • Manage personnel under your responsibility, including performance evaluation, attendance, and coaching.
  • Perform final reviews of financial information and address questions related to presentation.
  • Track deadlines for engagement managers and senior engagement managers in client files.
  • Coordinate year-end mandate planning and review execution, including financial information and statements prepared by engagement managers and senior engagement managers.
  • Review individual and corporate income tax returns prepared by engagement managers and senior engagement managers.

Your Ideal Profile:

  • CPA title
  • Client-oriented with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage teams, delegate tasks, and provide training
  • Capable of handling multiple files simultaneously and setting priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Fluent in French, both spoken and written
  • At least 5-6 years of experience in an accounting firm
