Mental Health Specialist

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Mental Health and Substance Use Nurse to join our team at the Willow Pavilion Adult Rehabilitation facility. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a difference in the lives of clients with severe and persistent mental illness, concurrent disorders, and/or dementia.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualized direct nursing care, discharge planning, and case coordination services to a wide range of clients
- Enhance quality of life from the client's perspective
- Perform physical and psychosocial rehabilitation assessments
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of concurrent disorders, substance use and abuse, harm reduction strategies, including assessment and intervention. They will also possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
