This field-based position requires a motivated individual with a strong background in safety management, particularly within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience working on industrial oil and gas projects, with a proven track record of ensuring a safe working environment for themselves and others.

The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting site visits, identifying potential hazards, and implementing strategies to mitigate risks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as this role involves working closely with colleagues, supervisors, and clients to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular site visits to assess safety conditions and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with Alberta and British Columbia WCB regulations
  • Provide training and support to colleagues on safety best practices and procedures
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Stay up-to-date with changes to OHS legislation and CSA standards

Requirements:

  • NCSO Designation required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in the construction industry
  • Electrical or Instrumentation experience or designation considered an asset
  • Familiarity with Alberta and British Columbia OHS Legislation and CSA standards
  • Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid, CSTS 2020 Fundamentals, and Driving & Journey Management certificates
