Job Title: Recreation Therapist II

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Recreation Therapist II to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a Recreation Therapist II, you will play a key role in providing therapeutic recreation services to patients in our continuing care facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership to ensure safe and efficient care
  • Coordinate the assessment, treatment, education, and care of patients
  • Develop and implement protocols, forms, education, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate and communicate with the healthcare team and participate in patient rounds, family conferences, and meetings

Requirements:

  • Completion of a bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, or Recreation and Leisure Studies
  • Active or eligible registration for Professional Membership with the Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA)
  • Minimum three years' related clinical experience as a Recreation Therapist
