Software International is a global leader in supplying technical talent to Fortune 100/500/1000 companies. We are currently seeking a Senior PHP Developer with expertise in web development and new media marketing to join our team as a Principal PHP Developer and Technical Lead.

Job Overview:

  • This is a long-term contract role with our web development and new media marketing client, primarily supporting North American clients on various website and backend infrastructure services.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the PHP language and experience with frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, or similar.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, debug, and maintain website applications using our in-house methodologies and process flows.
  • Solve complex technology issues as they arise.
  • Provide architectural input for modifications to existing systems and create new systems from the ground up.
  • Work closely with the project manager and senior staff to ensure stated business objectives are met.

  • PHP (7+ years)
  • MySQL (4+ years)
  • OOP Concepts (3+ years)
  • JSON
  • Remote Processing

Additional Requirements:

  • Linux-based systems administration
  • Knowledge of open source solutions like AWS
  • Proficient understanding when committing code to Git, branching, and merging code

We offer an estimated salary of $62,400 CDN/month ($45,900 USD/month) based on 40 hours per week at $39/hour. The contract duration is 12 months, renewable annually.

Please note that excellent written and oral English communication skills are essential due to the team's dispersed nature across the globe.
