Senior PHP Developer Job Description

Software International is seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer to join our team. As a Senior PHP Developer, you will be responsible for developing, debugging, and maintaining website applications using our in-house methodologies and process flows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain website applications using PHP and related technologies
  • Solve complex technology issues and provide timely communication of issues and status information to Team Leads
  • Provide architectural input for modifications to existing systems and create new systems from the ground up
  • Work closely with the project manager and senior staff to ensure stated business objectives are met
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of PHP and experience with frameworks like Laravel and Symfony
  • Experience implementing and using RESTful APIs in a microservice architecture
  • Usable understanding of front-end technologies and object-oriented programming concepts
  • Familiarity with optimizing interactions with backend storage and experience developing in a largely-distributed environment
  • Prior experience working with online payment gateways and billing/invoice/financial software components
Preferred Skills:
  • Linux-based systems administration and knowledge of open source solutions like AWS
  • Proficient understanding of Git, branching, and merging code
  • Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
  • Payment Gateway Integration and large volume email dispatching
What We Offer:

  • A renewable contract with a minimum of 12 months

Please note that excellent written and oral English communication skills are required, as the team is dispersed all over the globe and English is the common language. Flexibility to work on EST hours at times is also key, as some clients are located in Canada/US.
