About the Role

Elevate your career as a Senior Construction Hoist and Operations Manager at EllisDon, where you will lead our team in delivering world-class construction hoist services to valued clients across Ontario.

Job Overview:

  • As a senior leader, you will oversee the operational and managerial aspects of the construction hoist division, driving efficiency, capacity planning, and capital budget management.
  • You will coordinate client experiences with sales, delivery, and erection/disassembly of hoisting and access scaffold systems.
  • A key aspect of this role is reviewing and processing customer information (blueprints, plans, specifications, RFPs, bid and contract documents) and preparing timely, accurate, and competitive bids for rental and/or sale of construction personnel hoist and access-related equipment.
  • Present proposals and demonstrations to customers, respond to questions and objections, and negotiate terms to secure sales.
  • Your expertise will ensure production forecasts are achieved on schedule and in a cost-effective manner.
  • You will direct and train staff, including sales, marketing, engineering, project coordination, asset purchasing, daily operations, equipment maintenance, compliance, division accounting, and reporting.
  • Foster relationships with existing accounts and teams, working in both salary and unionized environments.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • a minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior leadership position, leading teams and businesses.
  • proven ability to lead, supervise, mentor, and train employees, customers, and working groups.
  • experience with rack and pinion elevators, construction hoist, and access equipment rental, sales, marketing, design, installation, and estimating.
  • a valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly, internationally, and overnight, with possible relocation.
  • excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate with customers, engineers, owners, construction personnel, and field crews.
  • hands-on approach, strong mentoring abilities, and excellent communication of corporate goals.
  • ability to drive results, improve staff performance, processes, and equipment, motivating and engaging employees.
  • passion for continuous improvement and strong interpersonal and communication skills to gain buy-in from various stakeholders.
Compensation Package

We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for growth and professional development within an inclusive environment that respects diversity.
