About the Role

We are working with Legal Aid BC to find an experienced Managing Lawyer to lead a new Family Law clinic in Surrey. As the senior lawyer, you will be responsible for managing the office, overseeing a team of staff lawyers, advocates, paralegals, and legal administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of professional legal services
  • Supervise operations and resources
  • Liaise with the Vancouver Regional Centre on various initiatives
  • Work as the senior lawyer in the clinic, providing legal counsel and representation in family law and child protection matters

About the Clinic

The clinic is a new initiative by Legal Aid BC, and as the Managing Lawyer, you will play a crucial role in its success. You will have the opportunity to shape the clinic's policies and procedures, as well as contribute to the development of its team.

Your Background

To be successful in this role, you should have extensive experience in family law, preferably in a leadership position. You should also have excellent management skills, with the ability to supervise a team and manage resources effectively.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on your level of experience. This is a salaried position, and the compensation package includes a comprehensive benefits plan.
