Key Responsibilities- Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring that all materials are properly secured and accounted for.
- Operate and Drive Trucks: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Inspect Vehicles: Regularly inspect vehicles to ensure that all equipment is in good working condition, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
- Perform Pre-Trip, En Route, and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure that all aspects of the vehicle are in good working condition.
- Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring that all communication is clear and concise.
- Driver's License: Possess a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Willingness to train and learn the skills required for this role.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Schedule: 35 to 40 hours per week.
