About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at A&W. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our office building.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors and stairs
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and dirt
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings
  • Make minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance
  • Perform safety and security checks
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling. You will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a maintenance or facilities role
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Flexibility, initiative, and organizational skills are essential
  • Ability to work 35 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
