Environmental Project Manager Opportunity

SLR Consulting (Canada) is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to join our dynamic team of contaminated sites specialists in BC. As an Environmental Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing interdisciplinary projects, authoring technical summary reports, designing work programs, and mentoring staff.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have:

  1. Management of contaminated sites projects, including site investigations, monitoring and sampling programs, and remediation programs
  2. Coordination and supervision of field staff and subcontractors
  3. Engagement of senior team members to develop work plans and execute projects
  4. Analysis and interpretation of environmental data and preparation of technical reports
  5. Liaison and relationship building with clients and project stakeholders
  6. Active participation in proposals and business development opportunities
  7. Provision of technical leadership and mentoring of staff
  8. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to integrate findings and interpretations

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. 5+ years of experience in the environmental consulting industry
  2. Strong technical background in environmental site assessment and remediation, waste discharge permitting and compliance, and/or construction environmental management
  3. Working knowledge of provincial and federal environmental regulations and guidelines
  4. Undergraduate or Master's degree in environmental science, engineering, or geosciences
  5. Professional status or eligibility for professional status with a professional organization
  6. Valid driver's license and regular access to a reliable vehicle
