Accounts Receivable Clerk Job Description


This role is responsible for performing a variety of accounts receivable duties, including receiving and posting payments, preparing adjustments and journal vouchers, and issuing receipts.



Key Responsibilities

  • Process payments and reconcile accounts to the general ledger
  • Prepare and post bills, and maintain collection files
  • Follow up on delinquent accounts and respond to inquiries
  • Issue receipts for cash transactions and prepare bank deposits
  • Maintain patient trust accounts and petty cash records


Requirements

  • Grade 12 and two years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to keyboard at 40 wpm
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
