Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Classroom Instructor to join our team at St. George's School. As a Classroom Instructor, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education to our students and contributing to the overall academic excellence of the school.

About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching classes as needed, working closely with teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, and supporting students' social and emotional needs. You will also be required to plan and teach lessons under the direction of the classroom teacher, supervise students during non-instructional time, and participate in extracurricular activities.

Responsibilities
- Provide coverage for TOC and longer-term absences of faculty members
- Work with teachers to create a student-centered and caring atmosphere in the classroom
- Support the inclusion of diverse perspectives and voices in classroom material and learning experiences
- Accompany students on field trips and excursions during class time
- Liaise with teachers to address student social and emotional needs
- Plan and teach lessons under the direction of the classroom teacher
- Supervising duties as required, including placement on a duty rotation for lunch
- Participate in student activities during non-instructional time

Qualifications
- Teaching certification is required
- Completion of a B.Ed. program
- Superior reports from practicum experience during attainment of teaching certification
- Ability to build strong rapport with students
- Team player who will work to foster an open and positive classroom environment
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Experience teaching is considered an asset

What We Offer
