Job Title: Sales Executive

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Office based 2 days/week, Field Based 3 days/week

Job Description:

The Sales Executive will play a key role in driving sales growth and revenue for the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and establishing collaborative partnerships to increase the company's profile in Northern Ireland and ROI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the formulation and implementation of the company's short, medium, and long-term business objectives
  • Develop and execute challenging business KPIs, construct sales forecasts, and monitor and report on sales achievement
  • Manage key accounts at head office level, maximize sales and account profitability, and ensure high levels of customer care and satisfaction
  • Ensure customer and market requirements are clearly identified and communicated throughout the business
  • Assume full responsibility for day-to-day management of agreed key accounts and act as the primary commercial contact
  • Carry out regular business reviews with all key accounts, taking a proactive approach to facilitating the growth of sales and developing mutually beneficial customer relationships
  • Produce regular sales activity and financial reports and other information as required by the management team
  • Proactively identify suitable commercial opportunities and convert these into new strategic partnerships
  • Introduce prospective customers to the company and its products, negotiate pricing requirements, and agree credit terms with customers
  • Actively manage all price files, promotions, category reviews, annual account plans, and terms negotiations
  • Monitor customer/consumer needs, market trends, and developments, ensuring product offerings are competitive, viable, and fit for growth with each respective key account
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust database of customer, competitor, and market information for the company
  • Organize the participation of the company at customer trade shows and events, building brand awareness to generate and secure new business contacts
  • Assist with the collection of outstanding/overdue debts and liaise with internal teams regarding deliveries and stock availability

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in key account management and business development in the FMCG sector in NI/ROI
  • Proven track record of sales achievement in a challenging environment, including developing and implementing business plans that drive growth
  • Experience in reviewing, extracting, analyzing, and presenting sales/business development-related information
  • Understanding of sales-related financial data (e.g., profit margins, cost of sales)
  • Evidence of effective analytical problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate and maintain effective long-term business relationships with key customers
  • Proven ability to contribute effectively as part of a cohesive team
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including strong presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Exceptionally well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Evidence of strong organizational planning and time management skills
  • Experience in excellent essential experience in stock management or sales management tools and portals desirable
  • Experience in the preparation of presentations and the use of PowerPoint essential
  • Desire to work in a target-based environment
