Overview of the Lambton Kent District School Board
The Lambton Kent District School Board is a publicly funded English-language board serving the counties of Lambton and Kent in southwestern Ontario, Canada. The board operates 51 elementary schools, 18 secondary schools, and 28 adult and continuing education sites.
Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Secondary Education Teacher to fill a full-time permanent position at our A.M.S.S. location. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching General Studies Technology to secondary students.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Applicants must hold an Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification in the respective Division and subject area. Experience in teaching General Studies Technology is preferred. Special Education qualifications are required for ABLE/Resource/Intensive Services positions, and Special Education qualifications are preferred for positions at A.M.S.S. French qualifications and fluency in French Immersion are required for French Immersion positions. Guidance Part 1 is required for Guidance positions, Co-Op Part 1 is required for Co-Op positions, and Special Education Part 1 is required for Student Success positions.
Benefits
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary estimated to be around $90,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience. The board offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a pension plan.
