We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Grocery Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our retail store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with the sale of goods.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist customers with finding products, answering questions, and making recommendations.
- Store Maintenance
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves, sweeping and mopping floors, and disposing of trash.
- Ensure that the grocery department is fully stocked with merchandise and is ready for business.
- Inventory Management
- Rotate stock and check for expired products to ensure that merchandise is fresh and of high quality.
- Ensure that merchandise is properly signed and priced.
- Health and Safety
- Follow proper procedures for food safety and handling, as well as sanitation and cleaning procedures.
- Follow Health and Safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience
- Previous retail experience an asset.
- Skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register.
