About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead our Engagement and Development team. As a key member of our Development and Alumni Relations department, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining relationships with alumni, donors, and friends of the University of Alberta.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic engagement plans to foster relationships with key stakeholders
  • Lead a team of professionals in creating and executing high-quality programs and initiatives
  • Provide senior counsel on donor relations strategies and plans
  • Work closely with communications and marketing teams to ensure effective and coordinated communications
  • Advance an active donor portfolio and manage complex relationships with stakeholders
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, management, communications, or a related discipline
  • Graduate degree preferred
  • Significant experience in project management, event strategy, marketing, development, and stakeholder engagement
  • Proven ability to advance complex projects and initiatives, facilitating consensus across functional areas
  • Strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to understand the university's context and establish a clear direction
