Job Title: Distribution Centre Manager

The Distribution Centre Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development of the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the distribution centre, ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of products to our customers and production lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of distribution centre operations, including receiving, picking, production picking, packing, shipping, and returns processing.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of supervisors, warehouse staff, and other personnel.
  • Inventory Control: Ensure accurate inventory management and control processes.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety standards and protocols.
  • Customer Service: Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to resolve issues, ensure timely order fulfillment, and maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the distribution centre's budget, including monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as order accuracy, delivery times, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in distribution, logistics, or warehouse management, with a proven track record of managing teams and optimizing operations.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills, excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in warehouse management systems related to SAP and other relevant software.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of distribution and logistics processes, inventory management, and supply chain best practices.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, management, and external partners.
