Job Summary

We're seeking an energetic, creative, and detail-oriented individual to join our Philanthropy team. This part-time (30 hours per week) position is based out of our provincial head office in Vancouver, BC, with the possibility of full-time for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with donors, providing front-facing fundraising support in-person, online, via email, or phone
  • Support SCI BC signature fundraising events, including auction logistics, prize solicitation, and event communication
  • Assist the Manager of Philanthropy and Officer with grant writing, funding applications, and reports
  • Attend SCI BC Peer Program and fundraising events, strengthening relationships with existing and prospective donors
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the Philanthropy team, including large mail outs, mail merges, and meetings
  • Support the Peer Program and Information Services team by pulling reports from the donor database
  • Analyze donor data, track deliverables for sponsorships and grants, and become a 'Super User' of the SCI BC donor database

Requirements

A diploma or certificate in fundraising, marketing, or non-profit management is an asset. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ideally experience working with SharePoint or similar share drives is necessary. Experience with contact or donor databases, particularly DonorPerfect, is also required.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, time management skills, ability to handle multiple competing priorities, and an analytical mindset comfortable working with data and reports. They will be a passionate and dedicated professional committed to delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality work, providing exceptional service to donors and volunteers.
