At City Furniture & Appliances, we are seeking a skilled Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and reconciling accounts.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting, with experience in manual and computerized bookkeeping systems. You will be responsible for maintaining general ledgers and financial statements, as well as preparing statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual who can work independently and as part of a team. If you have a strong passion for numbers and a keen eye for detail, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Prepare cheques for payroll and reconcile accounts
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports
Requirements:
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting
- Permanent employment
- English as the primary language of work
- 35 hours per week
