**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Sample Preparation Technician to join our team in Thunder Bay. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing samples for laboratory analysis, working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and accuracy.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Unpack, sort, check, crush, and pulverize mineral samples using specialized equipment
  • Safely follow standard operating procedures and perform quality control checks as required
  • Enter sample data into computer systems, ensuring accurate details

**Requirements**

  • High School Diploma
  • Fork Lift certification/license is an asset
  • Ability to lift 25 kg on a consistent basis
  • Hand-Eye coordination and attention to detail
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks within a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with a mature work ethic
  • Problem solving, communication, organization, and time management
  • Commitment to the production of accurate and timely results
  • Ability to wear a respirator and other PPE properly and follow all safety protocols
  • Ability to work night shifts, including weekends, on a 4 days on, 4 days off rotation
