About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Specialist to join our dynamic team in the consumer electronics sector. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth flow of inbound logistics for our products, optimizing costs, and maintaining exceptional service levels.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with freight forwarders to manage ocean and inland transportation operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers, striving for continuous improvement in logistics costs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize demurrage, detention, and other associated expenses related to inbound shipments.
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential issues impacting the supply chain, ensuring seamless product flow.
  • Maintain accurate records and generate reports on logistics performance, providing insights for process optimization.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in freight forwarding, with a strong understanding of transportation regulations and best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of Incoterms, Intermodal transport, and Canadian transportation law.
  • Proficiency in SAP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
