Job Summary

Groupe J.F. Nadeau Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet of commercial transport trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on trucks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with trucks, including engine, transmission, and electrical systems.
  • Inspect and test vehicles to identify potential problems and ensure they are roadworthy.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to determine the best course of action for repairs and maintenance.
  • Stay up-to-date with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices for maintenance and repair.
Requirements
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position with a 40 to 50 hour workweek. You will be working in a garage environment with exposure to dusty, dirty, and noisy conditions.
