We are seeking a highly skilled Department Store Supervisor to join our team at Navs Grocery. As a key member of our sales and operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Train Staff: Lead and motivate a team of sales associates, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.
- Manage Sales Floor and Inventory: Oversee the sales floor, ensuring a visually appealing and well-organized store environment. Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving merchandise, and maintaining accurate stock records.
- Authorize Returns and Exchanges: Process customer returns and exchanges, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our customers.
- Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules for sales associates, ensuring adequate coverage during peak periods.
- Prepare Sales Reports: Analyze sales data, identifying trends and opportunities to drive sales growth.
- Resolve Customer Issues: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Manage Cash and Inventory: Oversee cash handling and inventory management, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Supervise Payroll Administration: Manage payroll processes, including timekeeping and benefits administration.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, working under pressure, and meeting tight deadlines.
- Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and handling heavy loads.
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, organized, reliable, team player, dependable, and ability to multitask.
- Permanent Full-Time Position: 35 hours per week
- English Language: Primary language of communication
