About the Role:
Mobil Belleville is seeking a skilled Retail Buyer to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for acquiring merchandise for resale, maintaining adequate stock levels, and negotiating prices with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Study market reports, trade periodicals, and sales promotion materials to stay up-to-date on industry trends.
- Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of merchandise.
- Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements with suppliers.
- Oversee the distribution of merchandise to outlets, ensuring efficient and effective logistics.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Review requirements of the establishment and determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Select and purchase merchandise for resale, considering factors such as quality, price, and availability.
- Utilize MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word to analyze data, create presentations, and maintain records.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve business objectives, demonstrating flexibility, organization, and excellent communication skills.
Requirements:
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Permanent employment with a 30-hour workweek.
- Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
