We are seeking an experienced Project Manager Specialist to join our team at The Dalton Company. Based in the Greater Toronto Area, this role is perfect for a seasoned professional with a strong background in construction management.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten years of experience in on-site and in-office construction management, with expertise in risk management, budgeting, and project scheduling. Proficiency in MS Project and Procore is required, as well as excellent communication and analytical skills.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Project Manager Specialist to work on multiple institutional, commercial, and industrial construction projects across the GTA. The successful candidate will provide technical support, risk management solutions, and strategic advice to project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and monitor project schedules using MS Project and Procore
  • Manage project scope change management processes, cost management, and forecasting
  • Assist in training project members on digital construction software and workflows
  • Partner with project managers to identify and execute training needs
  • Conduct ongoing administration and maintenance of the Procore change management process
  • Monitor progress, costs, and budgets throughout the project

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related engineering or construction management discipline (an asset)
  • In-depth knowledge of building processes, costs, and scheduling
  • Strong understanding of all disciplines within construction management, including safety compliance, scheduling, critical path analysis, cost control, quality control, etc.
  • Proficient in interpreting and reviewing project drawings, specifications, permits, and blueprints
  • Thorough knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and the Ontario Health and Safety Act
