Mechanic Supervisor for Bus Fleet

At Autobus Québec Métro 2000 inc., we are seeking an experienced and skilled Mechanic Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in heavy vehicle mechanics and excellent leadership skills.

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary, starting at $70,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include health and dental insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of our bus fleet through regular maintenance and repairs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing preventive maintenance on vehicles to ensure optimal performance;
  • Determining and proposing parts to be replaced to the Branch Manager;
  • Managing the bus fleet, including daily, weekly, and annual planning;
  • Welcoming new recruits and evaluating personnel;
  • Assigning tasks to mechanics and following up on their progress;
  • Sourcing materials and managing parts inventory;
  • Monitoring warranties and analyzing critical events;
  • Participating in tool purchasing and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A DEP in heavy vehicle mechanics;
  • A PEP card (mandatory);
  • At least 5 years' experience in heavy vehicle mechanics;
  • A valid Canadian work permit (mandatory).

Working Hours:
