About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic - HVAC Specialist to join our team at GG Ice Centre Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain and repair ventilation, air handling and air conditioning systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions to determine work requirements
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with refrigeration and air conditioning systems
  • Assemble and install refrigeration and air conditioning components
  • Measure, cut and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment
  • Test and start up systems to ensure proper function and safety
  • Handle, recover and store refrigerants in accordance with regulations
  • Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation or heat pump systems
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • Ability to work 30 to 40 hours per week
