We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transportation Design Engineer to join our Transportation Planning team in Ontario. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of transportation design projects, including municipal, transit, and private development projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the delivery of transportation design projects, including conceptual plans, functional and preliminary design activities, and construction and traffic management plans.
- Collaborate with a team of transportation/traffic engineers, planners, and designers to develop and implement multi-modal planning and design solutions.
- Oversee and conduct site plan reviews for various projects to ensure compliance with municipal design standards, including parking and loading.
- Supervise, train, and mentor junior and intermediate employees to develop their skills and career.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve our design processes and deliver high-quality results.
- Minimum Undergraduate Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive transportation design-related experience.
- Strong communication skills, including writing and presentation.
- Proficient in using AutoCAD and AutoTURN, with experience in Microstation an asset.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
