Job Title: Transportation Engineer in Training

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Transportation Engineer in Training to join our team in Highway Design. As a key member of our Transportation team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including highway design, traffic engineering, and transportation planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and maintain project documentation, including plans, profiles, and cross-sections.
  • Assist with the development of preliminary and detailed engineering drawings.
  • Prepare specifications, contract tender documents, and tender quantities.
  • Review reports and prepare meeting minutes.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a university degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Basic highway engineering principles gained through education or experience.
  • Pursuing licensing as a Professional Engineer in Ontario.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and experience with InRoads/Open Roads would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and time management.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle that has valid registration and insurance.
