Job Title: Early Childhood Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Advantage Child Care Academy Inc.

Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Assistant will provide support to our early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This role involves assisting with daily tasks, maintaining a safe and healthy environment, and engaging children in activities that foster their growth and development.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in implementing programs and activities that promote child development
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, including equipment and supplies
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and crafts
  • Assist with meal preparation and snack time
  • Support children in developing good habits, such as eating, dressing, and using the bathroom
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss child progress and address any concerns
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in a childcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment:

The Early Childhood Assistant will work in a childcare centre with a team of experienced educators and support staff. The centre is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.

Language:

The primary language of communication is English.

Hours of Work:

35 hours per week, with a regular schedule and occasional flexibility to meet the needs of the centre.
